October 17, 1975

I was born on this day 33 years ago. Wow...33. When my mom was my age she had a 12 year old and a 9 year old. Can I just say, I am glad I have my 4 and 1 year old. I don't know if I could handle an almost teenage girl right now. As a matter of fact, if you know me well, my prayer is for Jesus to come quickly before I have teenagers!

My amazing friend Anne wrote such a sweet blog about me today. You don't have to read it but it made me laugh and cry. I love her. She is an incredible friend that I have had since 7th grade. I can't imagine my life without her and the memories we have made. There have been many belly laughs, (handbell festival) and too many tears to count but I love her!

Ok...enough with the mushy stuff.

I have had a great day. I will just say that this birthday blew last years birthday out of the water! Last year I was incredibly hormonal because of just having a baby 16 days before and my wonderful husband (really...I mean that) forgot failed to remember my birthday with all that was going on. (*side note* Men out there...if your wife just had a baby, it is not such a good idea to forget her bithday.) I have forgiven him and he made up for it this year. He woke me up at midnight to sing to me. He bought me a great red winter coat. He got me a beautiful card. He took me to a wonderful resteraunt for dinner (early bird special...we are so old) and then took me shopping and to Starbucks. What more can a girl ask for. Jordyn sang and was very concerned that I was not having a party. It is so sweet for her to want me to have what she has. Tomorrow we will be going to Oxford for the day and my Mama will be cooking lunch for me. Fried pork chops...yummy!

This last year has been amazing. The Lord has blessed me in so many ways. Too many to count. What an awesome God we serve! I hope that this next year is just as wonderful, challenging, and filled with as much love as this past year has been. My prayer this year is that I share my faith with people and that I see lives changed in miraculous ways. My God is a big God and he can do mighty things through me if I only allow Him to work and obey His commands.
