We are still alive!

I was so kindly reminded today by a good friend that I need to update my blog. (Thanks Val!) I know...it has been over a month. But, it seems like just yesterday that Joey was getting back home from Africa. This year is flying by!

We had VBS last week. I have a love/hate relationship with VBS. I love it!!! It is the best week of the summer. To see the little faces singing and doing all the crazy motions to the songs (including my goofy husband!) To walk through the building during the morning and see children with our staff asking questions about Jesus and praying to ask Jesus in their heart...AMAZING! But, the tired that I experience in that one week is unlike any other. And my kids act crazy in the afternoon of VBS week. You would think that they would come home and pass out...no, not my girls. They will either nap for an hour or not at all! Which makes for a long afternoon and night. And then there is the way my house looks at the end of VBS week...AWFUL! But, looking at the big picture and seeing the eternal value...it is all worth it!

Today, I have been going through all the old clothes that JC has out grown. Such beautiful dresses and sweet little outfits. I miss that baby stage. We have entered the "fit-throwing-screaming-uncontrollably-snot-everywhere" stage. Such a fun stage to be in. *you can enter my sarcastic voice here*. It is amazing how fast she has grown. And Jordyn too...we registered her for 5 year old Kindergarten today! What? Didn't I just birth her?!?

Jordyn is headed to Jackson for 3 days tomorrow. My Grandmama wants her to come and spend some time with her and Jordyn is so excited about going to GG's! My Mama (aka Gran Gran) will be taking her down and bringing her back on Thursday. They will have so much fun and my ears will get a rest for a few days! I love that girl but BOY CAN SHE TALK!

I just had to put JC's shoes on. She loves shoes and no matter if she is going outside or not she wants them on. Not me...that is the first thing I take off when I walk inside. As I was putting them on I was reminded that she found a marker and pen today. Yes, she has purple and blue marks all over her. The only thing I am thankful for is that she only marked on herself, Jordyn and my table cloth that is already really stained. At least that is all I have found so far! She is a mess and is giving me a run for my money. As I am typing she opened a bottle of water and spilled it all over the table!!!! I feel this would be the appropriate time to issue a formal apology to my parents. I am paying for all those times I cause them grief as a child. JC is me...scary I know! And girl loves her Pacy!!!! That is another post all together!

Ok, well no pictures this time because I am too lazy to get up and find all the cords that I need for the camera! But I will do better about updating and posting pictures next time!
