It's the Final Countdown!

I had to Google who sang that song because it has been in my head since I wrote the title of this post. For those of you that care...Europe sings it.

On May 3, 2011, (exactly 8 weeks from today) we will finish our first year of homeschooling! One day before my girl turns 7!

I can't believe I can see the end. I'm amazed that we have made it without killing each other. And most days have been really good!

Jordyn seems to really like it and I am enjoying it too!

I knew I would like the scheduling aspect of it. But what has really surprised me is how much I have enjoyed watching her learn. To be here and see when that light bulb goes off in her head and she truly "gets it" is really fun.

Last week was a challenging week. She wanted to spend all day doing school....literally from 7:45 am to 4:15 pm...ALL DAY!

But, this week (and I realize we have only had 2 days) she has finished at 11:30 am. 3 hours and school is done! You can't beat that!

I know that the Lord is in this because I can't do this on my own. And I truly believe that Jordyn came to Jesus when she did because of her being here, diving in the Word together daily, and her being able to ask questions about Him.

God is good.

He knows what we need and what is best for us.  I'm so glad because I would have messed everything up by now!
